This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Respond to and/or redirect incoming phone calls from patients and insurance representatives promptly.
• Deliver exceptional customer service support via phone.
• Offer accurate details regarding the status of patient and insurance accounts.
• Address account inquiries and resolve disputes effectively.
• Process payments efficiently.
• Conduct timely follow-ups on accounts.
• Utilize online payer systems to verify claim status and eligibility.
• Manage correspondence and returned mail to fulfill patient and insurance requests.
• Oversee Customer Service ticklers and handle escalated accounts.
• Achieve productivity targets and adhere to deadlines established by the AR Supervisor.
• Manage escalated calls with professionalism.
• Complete additional AR projects and assigned responsibilities.
• Experience in telephone customer service.
• Ability to handle multiple phone lines and manage a high volume of calls.
• Proficient in computer usage and capable of navigating multiple computer systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer service.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Capability to multitask effectively.
• Good judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent education/experience required.
• Call center experience is preferred.
• Prior experience in medical billing and/or knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Basic understanding of how insurance processes medical claims is preferred.
• Ability to sit for approximately 90 percent of the workday.
• Proficiency in operating standard office equipment, including multi-line telephones, computers, faxes, copiers, and printers.
