This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +3 more states.
• Provide pre-prescription disease state education to patients and their caregivers through small group meetings and informative presentations.
• Share insights regarding product efficacy, safety, and support available through ACADIA Connect.
• Distribute approved educational materials about Parkinson’s Disease Psychosis and NUPLAZID®.
• Establish trusting relationships with patients and their caregivers.
• Work collaboratively with Patient Access Managers to address coverage, reimbursement, and affordability inquiries.
• Assist in facilitating referrals and transitions into ACADIA Connect.
• Collaborate with Neurology Sales Specialists and Long-Term Care Sales Specialists.
• Address inquiries from patients, caregivers, customers, community organizations, and during advocacy events.
• Partner with community-based, advocacy, and professional organizations to develop educational programs.
• Provide insights to the marketing team to enhance patient engagement and educational initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, psychology, or a related healthcare field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in pharmaceuticals; experience in patient education, navigation, advocacy, or pharmaceutical patient support services is preferred.
• Familiarity with neurology, psychiatry, or movement disorders is advantageous; experience with Parkinson’s Disease or PDP is strongly desired.
• Capability to foster empathetic and supportive relationships with patients and caregivers.
• Superior communication, interpersonal, and active listening abilities.
• Experience in collaborative efforts across marketing, patient support services, advocacy, and field-based teams.
• Understanding of compliance standards relevant to patient-facing pharmaceutical roles.
• Willingness to meet travel requirements, including driving, overnight stays, and air travel as needed.
• Commitment to safeguarding patient health information while adhering to privacy and compliance regulations.
• Must reside within the designated territory or within 30 miles of its boundary.
• Should be conveniently located near a major airport based on territory requirements.
• Eligibility to operate a company vehicle.
• Capacity to travel independently via air.
• Travel may be required up to 75% of the time, including occasional after-hours commitments.
• Ability to engage in regular standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and handling equipment.
• Occasional capability to lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
