Patient Customer Service and Collection Specialist – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage patient accounts, ensuring the accuracy of accounts receivable (AR) through verification processes.

• Reach out to patients for the collection of outstanding payments.

• Investigate and address patient billing inquiries effectively.

• Methodically document all measures taken to reconcile outstanding balances.

• Liaise with patients and insurance providers to resolve billing discrepancies.

• Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations in all billing practices.

• Explain Care Credit options to patients and encourage timely applications to settle their balance.

• Assist patients in establishing feasible payment plans that accommodate their financial situations while supporting the facility’s financial health.

• Deliver accurate customer service to both patients and insurance companies.

• Generate specialized invoices and information as necessary.

• Prepare precise documentation for submission to the collection agency.

• Confirm patient demographics and update registration details as needed.

• Execute additional job-related duties as assigned.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Demonstrated experience in medical billing and collections is essential.

• Familiarity with relevant software and systems (e.g., billing software, electronic health records) is required.
