Patient Authorization and Referral Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Facilitate account sponsorship within the Revenue Cycle

• Collect patient demographic details and intricate insurance information

• Collaborate with Care Management to exchange clinical information

• Secure insurance verifications, referrals, and authorizations

• Confirm that necessary authorizations are obtained

• Assist in patient account reimbursement processes

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or healthcare registration

• Previous background in healthcare, either in a provider or payor setting

• Proficient in acquiring insurance verifications, referrals, and authorizations

• Preferred: 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare environment

• Preferred: 1 year of experience with hospital precertifications

• Preferred: familiarity with Epic computer charting

• Preferred: experience utilizing Availity and OneHealthPort payer sites
