Patient Access Technical Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Aids in the reporting, analysis, and execution of programs supporting the Revenue Cycle.

• Charged with delivering expertise to Revenue Cycle operations to guarantee high-quality service is rendered to patients efficiently and cost-effectively.

• Oversees system configuration, testing, workflow analysis, training, on-site support, and management of provider templates and protocols.

• Notifies staff of system improvements, records trends, and reports operational challenges.

• Engages with registration, scheduling, patient care personnel, and providers.

• Holds regular meetings with leadership and team members in designated support areas to discuss, communicate, and promote progress on issues, projects, and operations.

• Demonstrates and trains on outstanding customer service to ensure objectives and quality standards are achieved.

• Delivers on-the-job training for new hires and existing staff, covering process changes and upgrades related to Epic and all frontline workflows.

• Collaborates with operational leadership, training staff, and reporting personnel to plan, develop, implement, and assess quality evaluation requirements.

• Engages in various small projects across the system that intersect clinical, financial, and operational dimensions of the business.

• Conducts functional assessments and time studies of work processes.

• Supplies management with business and clinical operational data, including issue tracking, phone reporting, staffing analysis, open encounters, and work queues.

• Other responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of experience and education.

• One year of relevant experience.
