This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• The individual in this role will be tasked with coordinating patient appointments for various services, including diagnostic, surgical, therapy, physician office visits, and other treatments.
• Responsible for obtaining and verifying essential demographic and insurance details.
• Registers patients and inputs data into the scheduling system.
• This role necessitates working in a call center environment, focusing on achieving individual quality metrics.
• Upholds the Baptist Health philosophy by delivering exceptional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, along with families, employees, physicians, and community members.
• Successfully complete the Patient Access training course.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
• Competence in performing basic mathematical calculations.
• Detail-oriented, organized, a team player, compassionate, with outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Preferred: Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology.
• Familiarity with computer applications (such as Microsoft Office, knowledge of EMR systems, etc.) and proficient typing skills.
• Awareness of regulatory guidelines, including but not limited to HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure, especially concerning medical necessity compliance guidelines.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is preferred.
