This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
β’ Schedule appointments for diagnostics, surgeries, therapies, physician visits, and other patient procedures/treatments.
β’ Collect and confirm demographic and insurance details.
β’ Register patients and input data into the scheduling system.
β’ Operate in a call center environment while achieving personal quality metrics.
β’ Deliver professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients, families, staff, physicians, and community members.
β’ Uphold the Baptist Health philosophy of service excellence.
β’ High school diploma, certificate, GED, training, or relevant experience.
β’ Successfully complete and pass the Patient Access training course.
β’ Capability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work setting.
β’ Proficiency in performing basic mathematical calculations.
β’ Detail-oriented and organized.
β’ Team-oriented with strong customer service and interpersonal communication abilities.
β’ Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with computer applications such as Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
β’ Accurate typing skills.
β’ Knowledge of HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structures, including compliance guidelines for medical necessity.
β’ Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is preferred.
β’ Less than one year of required minimum experience.
