Patient Access Scheduler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Schedule appointments for diagnostics, surgeries, therapies, physician visits, and other patient procedures/treatments.

• Collect and confirm demographic and insurance details.

• Register patients and input data into the scheduling system.

• Operate in a call center environment while achieving personal quality metrics.

• Deliver professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients, families, staff, physicians, and community members.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma, certificate, GED, training, or relevant experience.

• Successfully complete and pass the Patient Access training course.

• Capability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work setting.

• Proficiency in performing basic mathematical calculations.

• Detail-oriented and organized.

• Team-oriented with strong customer service and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology is preferred.

• Familiarity with computer applications such as Microsoft Office and EMR systems.

• Accurate typing skills.

• Knowledge of HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structures, including compliance guidelines for medical necessity.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is preferred.

• Less than one year of required minimum experience.
