This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +13 more states.

📋 Description

• Reduce barriers to access and reimbursement for patients and providers regarding Prolastin-C.

• Implement the market access reimbursement strategy in the designated geographic region.

• Provide education to prescriber office staff on the Prolastin Direct program and its processes through both in-person and virtual engagements.

• Oversee patient support services and reimbursement initiatives, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.

• Act as a subject matter expert on payer and reimbursement issues, patient services, and pharmacy operations.

• Partner with payer teams to gain insights into payer policies and enhance patient access.

• Assist providers with prior authorizations, appeals, clinical criteria, electronic PA submissions, Letters of Medical Necessity, step edits, formulary exceptions, and coverage documentation.

• Increase awareness and improve patient support resources and specialty pharmacy workflows.

• Address patient-specific and customer-related reimbursement challenges throughout the region.

• Cultivate professional relationships with clients in targeted accounts.


⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of medication access pathways.

• Strong functional understanding of specialty pharmacy, health insurance, and benefits.

• In-depth knowledge of insurance eligibility and benefit verification processes.

• Familiarity with prior authorization, reimbursement coverage, insurance denial appeals, financial assistance, co-pay support, and free product initiatives.

• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively across various functions.

• Willingness to travel extensively across a large multistate territory; over 50% travel is necessary.

• BA/BS degree is required; an advanced degree or PharmD is preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in rare disease, specialty pharmacy, pharmaceutical, and/or biopharmaceutical fields.

• 1–2 years of experience engaging with field-based clients.

• Demonstrated ability to establish strong relationships with healthcare professionals.

• Depending on the role, relevant experience or a combination of education, experience, and/or competencies may be accepted in place of stated requirements.
