This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Oversee and manage front-office operations for patients, staff, and referral sources.
• Gather patient and insurance details while adhering to laws, regulations, company policies, and compliance protocols.
• Advise patients on their financial responsibilities following benefit verification.
• Collect co-payments and cash payments, and accurately complete cash receipts.
• Ensure patient records are maintained accurately and safeguard health information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Support patient follow-up and participate in quality assurance initiatives.
• Manage cash receipts, perform data entry in the billing system, and execute bank deposits in line with internal controls.
• Input patient demographics and verify insurance information.
• Handle multiple phone lines effectively.
• Create clear, concise, and accurate written documentation.
• Organize patient charts and relevant documentation.
• Coordinate clinician schedules and ensure coverage for appointments and out-of-office calls.
• Process and monitor referrals, authorizations, and prescriptions.
• Execute other assigned tasks and special projects.
• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience is mandatory.
• Must pass the Talent Bullseye assessment with a minimum score of 70.
• A preferred minimum of two to four years in customer service, administrative, or similar roles.
• Previous experience as a receptionist or familiarity with medical front-office procedures is preferred.
• A valid driver's license or eligibility to obtain one, with a driving record that meets Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, telephone, and written communication abilities.
• Capability to type 30 words per minute accurately.
• Ability to engage with individuals with disabilities.
• Familiarity with the Alpha filing system.
• Knowledge of medical reimbursement, medical terminology, and front-office receptionist responsibilities is preferred.
• Proficiency in using Windows-based software and email.
• Competency in operating office equipment, including fax machines, calculators, postage machines, and copiers.
• Ability to act with integrity, build patient trust, collaborate effectively, innovate, and focus on achieving superior outcomes.
