This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Perform thorough psychiatric assessments and establish evidence-based diagnoses.
• Create personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
• Prescribe and oversee psychotropic medications, evaluate their effectiveness, and make adjustments as necessary.
• Offer brief supportive interventions and psychoeducation in conjunction with medication management.
• Work alongside therapists, psychiatrists, and care coordinators during regular case reviews.
• Ensure precise and timely documentation in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Provide education to families regarding diagnoses, treatment alternatives, and what they can expect.
• Active and unrestricted PMHNP license in Virginia (multi-state or compact preferred).
• Capability to practice independently without an MD collaboration agreement — required.
• PMHNP-BC board certification.
• Valid DEA license.
• Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited PMHNP program.
• Experience or a strong interest in working with youth and families.
• Ability to work independently in a telehealth setting.
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and authentic empathy.
