
Part-Time Payroll Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accountable for independently overseeing multi-state payroll and associated activities, which include calculating wage and overtime payments, recording payroll deductions, and processing separation payments.
• Responsible for all payroll-related functions, encompassing payroll processing, tax setup and compliance, payroll configuration within the HRIS, reporting, and compliance auditing.
• Play a vital role in system conversions and implementations concerning payroll and time and attendance.
• Prepare manual payments as necessary, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations.
• Audit and review benefit deductions, reconciling them against election and enrollment data in carrier sites.
• Work in collaboration with HR and finance teams to resolve identified issues and enhance operational efficiency.
• 5-7 years of experience in a dedicated payroll role, handling multiple states/jurisdictions.
• A Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field is preferred.
• Proficient understanding of payroll processing, taxes, compliance, and auditing.
• Proven ability to enhance processes and identify issues.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
