This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Supervising Registered Associate clinical providers (e.g., ASW, AMFT, APCC) or “practitioners” by delivering continuous clinical oversight and evaluating documentation.
• Offering clinical supervision to employee practitioners in individual, triadic, and group settings.
• Engaging in CQRT activities and possessing Medi-Cal SMHS experience.
• Ensuring the precision and quality of clinical documentation in compliance with regulations and best practices through note evaluations.
• Upholding confidentiality and reporting laws, maintaining HIPAA standards, and ensuring vigilance against Medi-Cal fraud, waste, and abuse.
• Assessing staff training requirements and facilitating the development and execution of programs that address these needs, while participating in delivering training sessions related to clinical/program matters.
• Supervising and reviewing the work procedures of practitioners to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of five years of experience in a community mental health program.
• The Licensed Outpatient Clinical Supervisor must possess a current, unrestricted California License from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
• The license must have been held for at least two (2) years, with experience in practicing psychotherapy or directly supervising trainees, interns, or associates performing clinical services and/or psychotherapy for at least two years within the five-year period immediately preceding supervision.
• Completion of at least six (6) hours of supervision training or coursework within the two (2) years prior to supervision (or within 60 days of starting supervision) and at each renewal period thereafter to supervise Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFT) or trainees (MFTT).
• Completion of a minimum of 15 contact hours in supervision training before commencing supervision for supervisors of Associate Clinical Social Workers (ASWs).
• Provision of documentation confirming completion of both the 6-hour and 15-hour courses, which must be taken through an accredited or approved institution, a state agency, or a recognized Continuing Education Provider.
• Courses taken through an online approved provider will also be accepted.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a community behavioral health setting working with Dual Diagnosis/Specialty Mental Health populations.
• Experience in delivering Medi-Cal services and a solid understanding of CalAIM documentation standards, CQRT processes, and county behavioral health requirements.
• Proven experience in providing constructive, timely feedback that identifies practitioners' strengths and areas for development.
