Part-time MD, AZ License/IMLC Member State License

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver medication abortion care to patients through Hey Jane’s digital platform.

• Patients have the option to choose between video or asynchronous appointments with a provider for treatment approval.

• Prescribers are tasked with reviewing patients’ medical intake responses, engaging with them via our HIPAA-compliant messaging app or during a live video appointment, and assessing their eligibility for online medication abortion treatment.

• Medications are prescribed to a mail order pharmacy and dispatched directly to the patient.

• Administrative duties, patient education, and support, as well as non-urgent medical assistance and follow-up reviews, are mainly handled by our nursing and patient advocate teams.

• Medical prescribers will address medical inquiries from patients that necessitate further evaluation, and guide nursing staff on referrals and additional prescriptions as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Board Certification, in good standing to practice medicine.

• Active state licensure (MD, DO) and licensed in AZ or licensed plus residency in one of the following states: CO, DC, DE, IL, MD, NJ, or WA.

• Willing and eligible to pursue additional licenses.

• No restrictions on the ability to be credentialed with Medicaid or other payers.

• Over 1 year of experience in providing abortion and reproductive healthcare.

• A genuine interest in offering caring and compassionate services to a diverse population with a non-judgmental, patient-centered approach.

• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Proficient in utilizing online tools and technology to deliver care and communicate effectively with patients.
