Part-Time Field Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Travel to rural areas to install and maintain devices at various farm locations, typically ranging from 1 to 50 in a single day.

• Clean tires and boots at farm sites in compliance with biosecurity protocols.

• Ascend feed bins that vary in height from 10 to 40 feet.

• Set up sensors and small solar panels inside the bins; installations generally require 10 to 15 minutes.

• Diagnose and resolve basic issues on field devices that need servicing.

• Follow biosecurity regulations for every farm location.

• Keep precise records of mileage and timesheets.

• Manage and oversee inventory from home.

• Commute to farms from the employee's home address.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma.

• Certification for working at heights and a thorough understanding of fall protection equipment.

• Clean driving history.

• Capability to drive for 8 to 10 hours each day.

• A reliable smartphone with basic proficiency in its use and in taking basic measurements.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient communication skills in English.

• A positive attitude coupled with a service-oriented mindset.

• A solid work ethic and high personal standards.

• Trustworthy, punctual, and dependable.

• Willingness to work in various weather conditions.

• Physically capable of climbing and lifting over 50 lbs.

• Previous experience working at heights is advantageous.

• Familiarity with power tools is beneficial.

• Experience with electronics is a plus.
