Part-time Faculty, Psychology – Dissertation Chair

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver thorough and prompt feedback to students concerning various assessment tasks.

• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment that prioritizes student needs.

• Adhere to deadlines for completing essential tasks (such as final grades, assessments, grading rubrics, and input for grade appeals).

• Engage in necessary professional development and/or scholarly activities, as applicable.

• Offer insights to the course lead regarding the course materials.

• Recognize at-risk students and work collaboratively with student services.

⛳️ Requirements

• A doctoral degree with a specialization in Psychology or a related field is required, with a PhD being preferred.

• Publication of research-based, scholarly, peer-reviewed journal articles is required.

• Proven experience in the online delivery of education and familiarity with the supporting systems is mandatory.

• Preferred experience in teaching graduate-level qualitative methods, quantitative methods, or statistics.

• Required experience as a member of a dissertation committee, ideally in the role of chair/advisor.

• Content expertise in areas such as trauma, substance use/addictions, or the application and implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is preferred but not mandatory.

• All skills, abilities, and educational qualifications will be assessed for minimum requirements.
