
Part-time Faculty, Master of Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Deliver didactic and/or clinical instruction online to students efficiently.
• Plan and facilitate an impactful “classroom” experience through Zoom.
• Engage students effectively by employing a variety of teaching methods.
• Assess students in both classroom and clinical environments using effective educational strategies and tools.
• Grade assignments and address student inquiries within 48 hours of submission.
• Respond to student emails within 24 hours of receipt.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with students, staff, and faculty.
• Emphasize student-centered learning throughout the curriculum.
• Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Doctor of Nurse Practitioner with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialization.
• A minimum of two years of continuous clinical practice in the NP role and currently engaged in at least part-time work in the NP capacity.
• At least two years of recent experience in an FNP role, including the diagnosis and treatment of patients in a clinical setting.
• Possess an active, current, and unencumbered FNP state license in California and Texas, or agree to obtain them within 6 months of employment.
• Doctor of Nurse Practitioner with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialization is preferred.
• National board certification specific to FNP is preferred.
• Previous experience in online higher education is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with course topics such as QI & Project Management, EBP for Advanced NSG Practice, Advanced Pharmacology I, Advanced Pharmacology II, FNP: Women’s Health/Pediatrics, Women’s Health/Pediatric Practicum, and FNP Capstone is preferred.
