This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.
• Assist in advancing the Career and Technical Education (CTE) program by developing student services.
• Work collaboratively with administrators, student services staff, and educators to provide career development services.
• Establish connections with parents, businesses, postsecondary institutions, and community organizations.
• Aid students in their transition to postsecondary education and gainful employment.
• Support program funding initiatives and ensure compliance.
• Help students choose suitable academic and Career and Technical Education (CRE) courses.
• Organize career planning events in classrooms, group settings, or one-on-one sessions.
• Administer and interpret career assessments effectively.
• Provide details about postsecondary educational programs and job opportunities.
• Facilitate opportunities for work-based learning.
• Coordinate initiatives that enhance students’ employability skills.
• Encourage career research and work-based learning within CRE and academic classes.
• Advocate for the use of technology in career planning and research activities.
• Act as a liaison among businesses, industries, educational institutions, and military organizations.
• Foster partnerships that create opportunities for students and support CRE initiatives.
• Promote the resources available through partnerships.
• Engage in professional development at local, regional, state, and national levels.
• Commit to ongoing professional growth to stay informed about workforce trends and emerging career fields.
• Assist with tasks that guarantee program funding and compliance.
• Possession of an Idaho CTE Teaching Certificate.
• Residency in the state of Idaho.
• A Bachelor’s Degree along with three (3) years of experience in CRE, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Ability to successfully pass the required background check.
• Familiarity with federal and state regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong skills in organization and time management.
• Experience with a student information system and/or database.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
• Competence in web-based tools.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time.
• Background as an online/virtual educator.
• Experience with Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO).
