Part-Time Chaplain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Acts as a messenger and advocate for faith, mission, and purpose.

• Engages with companies, their employees, and the local community.

• Conducts regular brief visits to company worksites.

• Visits employees or their immediate family members where care can be offered.

• May facilitate confidential pastoral discussions regarding personal issues.

• Provides referral services and coordinates specialized assistance.

• May assist in the planning, conducting, or attendance of funerals.

• Collaborates with companies to communicate notifications of death and serious injuries to families.

• Offers support after termination for employees who have been laid off or let go.

• Participates in new employee orientation to introduce the Employee Care Service.

• Ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team and in an interfaith environment.

• Skills to actively listen and engage with clients, employees, and their families.

• Spiritual maturity and a commitment to a Christian lifestyle along with MCHAPs Ministry values.

• Proven ability to interact with professionalism, diplomacy, patience, and courtesy among diverse groups.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective interaction and communication.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze information to identify and follow up on problems or objectives.

• Proficient in using Google Suites, Microsoft Office, or other comparable software.

• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and meet state minimum auto insurance requirements.
