PA-C, Physical Medicine and Rehab, PRN Medical Review

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Conduct independent remote reviews of cases to assess medical necessity, appropriateness, or quality of care.

• Deliver evidence-based evaluations and written conclusions in accordance with established clinical guidelines and review criteria.

• Execute utilization reviews.

• Manage appeals and hearings.

• Evaluate quality-of-care and standard-of-care issues.

• Maintain clinical integrity, neutrality, and objectivity.

• Complete reviews of patient records and generate accompanying reports.

• Adhere to case turnaround deadlines while working autonomously in a secure remote setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess an active, unrestricted U.S. certification as a PA-C.

• A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience is required.

• Currently engaged in practice, seeing patients for an average of at least 20 hours per week over the last 30 days.

• Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail.

• Capable of reviewing cases impartially and meeting turnaround deadlines.

• Comfortable working independently in a secure, remote environment.

• Ability to sit, read, operate a computer, and view a computer screen for extended periods.

• Occasionally able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, kneel, or crouch.
