Outside Sales Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Engage with current and potential school districts and sites to facilitate the sale of the complete range of Follett content library and classroom materials, early childhood resources, digital content, and technology platforms that support digital initiatives, efairs, along with value-added services and products.

• Advocate for, demonstrate, and communicate the value of all assigned product lines and services as outlined by the company, utilizing a collaborative Outside/Inside sales approach.

• Concentrate sales efforts primarily on district-level contacts while collaborating with the inside sales team for site-based selling.

• Achieve set targets for sales revenue, sales growth, and other relevant metrics associated with the role.

• Check voicemail and email daily, managing company correspondence and responding appropriately.

• Attend and actively participate in local, regional, and national exhibits, webinars, trade shows, and sales meetings as scheduled.

• Serve as a liaison by maintaining communication with sales support teams within the organization, library service consultants, technical support, curriculum alignment, sales management, and other internal departments to address inquiries and follow up as necessary.

• Oversee your designated territory while providing timely updates in the existing CRM tool, including call plans, daily/weekly itineraries, and current company databases.

• Familiarize yourself with all promotional materials, catalogs, and customer-facing marketing collateral to present effectively during sales calls and further the sales process.

• Conduct research online regarding school districts, grants, programs, initiatives, and other pertinent information.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of Outside Sales experience.

• Must reside within the territory; 60-75% travel required (onsite at schools, traveling within the territory).

• 3-5 years of relevant sales experience.

• Strong presentation skills.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Experience managing complex sales scenarios and operating within a district sales model.
