This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
β’ Oversee the comprehensive engineering of intricate outside plant initiatives.
β’ Establish the technical strategy for both fiber and copper aerial and underground installations.
β’ Guarantee that designs comply with NESC regulations and client specifications.
β’ Provide guidance to junior engineers and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
β’ Enhance quality through thorough QA/QC processes, field validation, and data-driven enhancements.
β’ Extensive OSP Engineering: Demonstrated success in leading complex, multi-disciplinary OSP projects from design to permit, construction readiness, and closeout.
β’ Design Mastery: Proficient in work order engineering, including road moves, loss budgets, splicing plans, constructability assessments, and value engineering.
β’ Field & Standards: Practical field measurement experience and a comprehensive understanding of NESC and client/industry OSP standards.
β’ Permitting/ROW/Joint Use: Proven experience in securing permits and ROW/easements, along with leading pole attachment, loading, and make-ready coordination.
β’ Financial & QA Discipline: Skilled in building and tracking project budgets, as well as performing systematic QA/QC and site inspections.
β’ Tools & Systems: Adept with PC applications and record/CAD systems; competent in using measuring wheels, height sticks, pull finders, and laptops in field settings.
