Outside Plant Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive engineering of intricate outside plant initiatives.

• Establish the technical strategy for both fiber and copper aerial and underground installations.

• Guarantee that designs comply with NESC regulations and client specifications.

• Provide guidance to junior engineers and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.

• Enhance quality through thorough QA/QC processes, field validation, and data-driven enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive OSP Engineering: Demonstrated success in leading complex, multi-disciplinary OSP projects from design to permit, construction readiness, and closeout.

• Design Mastery: Proficient in work order engineering, including road moves, loss budgets, splicing plans, constructability assessments, and value engineering.

• Field & Standards: Practical field measurement experience and a comprehensive understanding of NESC and client/industry OSP standards.

• Permitting/ROW/Joint Use: Proven experience in securing permits and ROW/easements, along with leading pole attachment, loading, and make-ready coordination.

• Financial & QA Discipline: Skilled in building and tracking project budgets, as well as performing systematic QA/QC and site inspections.

• Tools & Systems: Adept with PC applications and record/CAD systems; competent in using measuring wheels, height sticks, pull finders, and laptops in field settings.
