This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accountable for locating, investigating, and rectifying financial discrepancies to recover lost or missed income.
• Evaluate billing inaccuracies, payment conflicts, and account modifications across intricate systems to reduce revenue leakage and enhance cash flow.
• Identify missed revenue potential and collaborate with operational leaders, as well as billing and revenue cycle analysts, to implement corrective measures.
• Generate comprehensive reports and suggest process enhancements to improve revenue capture.
• Review and reconcile accounts, assess billing and payment data, and investigate discrepancies to reveal missed revenue opportunities.
• Research and reconcile customer chargebacks, deductions, and underpayments within financial or billing systems.
• Audit account data to detect patterns of underbilling, overpayment, or delayed claims.
• Collaborate with finance, billing, and operational leaders to address errors and enforce corrective actions.
• Examine the root causes of revenue leakage and propose process improvements to avert future losses.
• Compile and deliver financial reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to leadership regarding recovery metrics.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• A minimum of three years of experience managing or coordinating parts or components of a project or program.
• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or a closely related field may substitute for two years of the required experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Well-organized in tasks and follow-up items.
• Capability to read and comprehend medical-related terminology.
• Strong organizational skills, along with effective oral and written communication abilities and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate and communicate efficiently while managing multiple deadlines and completing projects concurrently.
• Skill to interact positively and productively with providers, nursing, pharmacy staff, and leadership, demonstrating sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP platforms or specialized financial and billing software.
• Strong critical thinking and mathematical abilities with a high level of accuracy when managing large datasets.
• Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills to professionally handle disputes with internal departments and external clients or payers.
