This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Participate in the development, research, collection, consolidation, analysis, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of data systems utilized for administrative, funding, and accountability oversight of the Out-of-School Time (OST) Grants Program.

• Create data collection applications, forms, and reports to facilitate effective monitoring and reporting for the OST Grants Program.

• Address concerns related to grant systems (GEMS/NexSys), offer suitable technical assistance, and assess whether issues need to be escalated to higher-level staff.

• Provide technical and logistical support to 32 subrecipients/grantees to enhance the execution of high-quality OST programs through phone assistance, electronic communications, virtual training, and live presentations.

• Answer inquiries regarding functions, rules, regulations, and policies associated with the OST Grants Program.

• Assist with virtual office logistics, which includes proofreading and copyediting written and electronic documents.

• Organize and maintain electronic documents, grant awards, and communication databases.

• Aid in the development of OST Grant Program funding and implementation reports.

• Support the MiLEAP-OST team with purchases processed through MASP systems.

• Monitor, respond to, and coordinate communications related to the OST Grant Program (e.g., email, virtual meetings, voicemails).

• Conduct research and analysis for special data-related projects as required.

• Keep track of changes in state and federal legislation that may affect state school aid funding.

• Develop and implement effective monitoring and accountability processes for grant funds, including related resource and data requirements.

• Engage in the creation, facilitation, monitoring, and revision of presentations and stakeholder quality review activities.

• Collect data from OST Grant Program subrecipients and compile reports to document compliance with grant requirements.

• Execute other duties as needed and assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; any field of study is acceptable.

• Experienced and knowledgeable about Michigan’s OST sector, which may include direct service experience.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong collaboration and/or customer service abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 programs, including but not limited to Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

• Must exhibit attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Excellent time management and prioritization capabilities.

• Ability to learn and navigate complex database systems.

• Capability to conduct training and information sessions.

• Commitment to equity and enhancing OST access for youth in Michigan.

• Ability to establish program or service procedures, policies, or guidelines and align these with objectives.

• Competence in preparing requests for proposals and program agreements.

• Ability to organize, evaluate, and effectively present information.

• Ability to interpret laws, rules, and regulations relevant to the position.

• Ability to formulate plans, procedures, and controls within a program or service area.

• Capability to learn and utilize computer processes.

• Ability to design forms.

• Ability to maintain favorable public relations.

• Willingness, availability, and ability to travel statewide and nationally, as needed.
