Oracle Database Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Manage, support, and enhance enterprise Oracle database environments.

• Guarantee high availability, resilience, performance, and security of production database systems.

• Conduct backup, recovery, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and maintenance activities.

• Provide support for Oracle technologies including Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, RAC, Exadata, Azure, and OCI.

• Engage in cloud transformation initiatives involving Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Azure.

• Assist with Database DevOps, automation, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Azure DevOps.

• Take part in incident, problem, and change management processes.

• Maintain operational documentation and assist with project onboarding activities.

• Participate in on-call rotations and provide out-of-hours support as required.

• Offer secondary support for Microsoft SQL Server platforms when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience managing Oracle database environments in enterprise production settings.

• Proficient in Oracle 19c / 23ai administration.

• Extensive experience with Oracle technologies including Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, SQL, and PL/SQL.

• Experienced in supporting mission-critical production systems.

• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and cloud-based database services.

• Proficient in Linux administration and shell scripting.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication abilities.

• Familiar with formal incident and change management frameworks.

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server database environments is a plus.

• SQL Server DBA background, including performance tuning and troubleshooting, is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, and Azure VMs is beneficial.

• Experience with Oracle RAC, Exadata, and Delphix is an advantage.

• Knowledge of Oracle APEX is a plus.

• Familiarity with Database DevOps tools such as Flyway is advantageous.

• Experience in the financial services or investment management sector is a plus.

• Experience with Azure DevOps pipeline and Git workflow is an added advantage.
