Oracle Database Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c) across development, testing, and production settings.

• Conduct performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning to maintain database reliability and scalability.

• Implement and oversee Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters), ASM (Automatic Storage Management), Data Guard, GoldenGate, and Exadata / ExaCC platforms.

• Develop and uphold strategies for backup, recovery, migration, and upgrades for both on-premises and cloud environments.

• Administer and enhance AWS RDS/Aurora for Oracle instances; facilitate cloud migration and modernization projects.

• Create automation scripts using Shell, Python, and PL/SQL to optimize operational processes and enhance efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with infrastructure, application, and security teams to deliver dependable database solutions.

• Generate high-quality solution designs, architectural documentation, and operational procedures for extensive Oracle environments.

• Assist in incident management, root-cause analysis, and the continuous enhancement of database services.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 12+ years of experience in managing complex database systems.

• Proficient in Oracle Database Administration & Architecture (11g/12c/19c).

• Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.

• Knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and ExaCC.

• Familiarity with AWS RDS/Aurora for Oracle, as well as backup and migration strategies.

• Experience in scripting (Shell, Python, PL/SQL) for automation purposes.

• Capability in solution design and implementation for large-scale Oracle environments.

• Experience in public/private cloud management, specifically in migrating from on-premises to the cloud.
