This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the initial responder for critical operational incidents, which include:
• Be prepared to deploy to any plant in the U.S. or Canada at a moment's notice to evaluate conditions, stabilize operations, and implement immediate corrective measures.
• Serve as the on-site technical lead during escalation events, collaborating closely with Plant Managers, Operations Leaders, and Maintenance Leaders.
• Conduct structured root cause analysis and ensure that corrective actions are put in place, validated, and maintained.
• Offer hands-on technical guidance across maintenance and production systems, which includes:
• Diagnosing complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control-related challenges directly on the production floor.
• Support the execution—not merely the design—of corrective actions in partnership with plant teams.
• Enhance sustainable technical capabilities among operators and maintenance technicians, with a particular emphasis on:
• Providing hands-on, floor-based training (1:1 or in small groups) across maintenance and production.
• Identifying recurring issues and systemic gaps that affect safety, quality, cost, or delivery.
• Upholding strict adherence to safety protocols, PPE, and environmental regulations during all intervention and recovery efforts.
• Record root causes, corrective actions, and lessons learned from each deployment.
• 6–10 years of experience in a high-output plastics manufacturing setting.
• 5–10 years of practical experience in maintenance and/or production technical positions.
• Proven expertise in troubleshooting blow molding systems and downstream bottle processing machinery.
• Demonstrated ability to lead effectively under pressure during unexpected operational situations.
• Strong decision-making capabilities with the ability to evaluate incomplete information in fast-paced environments.
• Willingness and capability to engage hands-on on the production floor.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate in manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
• Experience in leading multi-site or organization-wide technical initiatives (preferred).
• Exposure to budget and cost management (preferred).
• Experience in leading cross-functional operations and maintenance teams (preferred).
• Strong communication skills with the capability to influence without formal authority (preferred).
