• Offer assistance with job scheduling, execution, monitoring, and issue resolution across development, testing, and production environments.
• Execute and oversee daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual batch jobs.
• Create, maintain, and implement annual close and mock annual close work plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Define, prepare, and run test, demand, and production batch jobs.
• Monitor job performance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct reruns as necessary.
• Keep job scheduling documentation up to date, including dependencies, rerun procedures, and contact lists.
• Initiate and terminate systems based on established schedules or authorized requests.
• Validate job results per established procedures and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
• Generate and disseminate end-of-shift Batch Cycle Operations Reports detailing job status (completed, executing, pending, aborted).
• Execute ETL processes, including bulk data loads, patches, and data corrections.
• Develop and uphold batch scheduling and configuration plans for reporting cycles.
• Assist with key financial processes, including month-end, year-end (annual close), and audit activities.
• Support DR/COOP testing and respond to real-world disaster or emergency scenarios.
• Engage in audit exercises and compliance activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting batch operations, job scheduling, and reporting within an enterprise environment.
• Strong background in ETL processes, data loading, and data validation.
• Familiarity with job scheduling tools and batch processing frameworks.
• Experience in an operations setting with shift-based support.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in working with database concepts and data reconciliation processes.
• Capability to clearly document processes, procedures, and operational reports.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with both technical and functional stakeholders.
