Operations Buyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the acquisition of chemicals, hoses, fittings, consumables, personal protective equipment (PPE), and materials related to projects.

• Identify and manage rental equipment necessary for the successful execution of projects.

• Negotiate costs, availability, and delivery timelines with suppliers.

• Establish and nurture robust relationships with vendors and service providers.

• Ensure all projects are adequately supplied and operationally prepared prior to commencement.

• Work collaboratively with Operations Managers, Project Leaders, and Scheduling teams to anticipate and meet project needs.

• Actively address procurement, logistics, and supply chain challenges that may affect project timelines.

• Maintain awareness of project readiness and inform stakeholders of potential risks.

• Assist in the setup of projects, planning for readiness, and coordination of resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate or bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, technical trade, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in procurement, operations support, logistics, industrial services, construction, manufacturing, project coordination, or a comparable operational setting.

• Strong experience in vendor management and supplier relationship development.

• Demonstrated capability to negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and service contracts.

• Proven experience managing multiple projects and priorities concurrently.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and business management software.
