Operations Analyst, Transportation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Accountable for delivering analytical support for transportation operations.

• Assesses inbound and outbound transportation performance across all Distribution Centers (DCs).

• Ensures adherence to regulatory standards.

• Aids in the creation and execution of standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Collaborates with transportation, warehouse, safety, and finance teams to provide actionable insights.

• Monitors, maintains, and reports on transportation systems and related activities.

• Establishes, tracks, and evaluates key transportation metrics.

• Identifies trends, discrepancies, and performance gaps, and formulates actionable improvement strategies.

• Works with cross-functional teams to ensure transportation capabilities align with DC capacity, customer demand, and business growth objectives.

• Leads or participates in cross-functional transportation and supply chain initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in transportation, logistics, supply chain, business, or a closely related field.

• At least three (3) years of experience in transportation, logistics, or distribution operations.

• Strong understanding of transportation regulations, including DOT, FDA, OSHA, and CSA compliance requirements.

• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), routing/optimization tools, and transportation analytics.

• Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and data analysis tools.
