Online Visiting Professor – Web Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Develops and delivers an approved syllabus for students at DeVry University, adhering to a template set by the local campus and incorporating the terminal course objectives.

• Organizes, prepares, and continuously revises all course materials to ensure they are up-to-date.

• Utilizes suitable technological tools for online learning and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions, to prepare the course and enhance accessibility for students.

• Exemplifies effective oral and written communication skills that engage students, provide clarity, and enhance the learning experience.

• Establishes clear expectations for the course by publishing terminal objectives, assignment/examination dates, and the distribution of various evaluation categories.

• Ensures that the exam content and level of difficulty align with the course terminal objectives.

• Maintains consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams while providing timely feedback to students.

• Embraces and incorporates the responsible use of AI technologies in the classroom to improve teaching and learning outcomes.

• Demonstrates the capability to identify, assess, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools in their academic work.

• Completes additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A master’s degree is required, along with 18 graduate credit hours in the subject being taught.

• Applicants are required to upload unofficial graduate-level transcripts with their application.

• Degrees must be conferred by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an international institution deemed to have equivalent accreditation.

• Additional requirements may be dictated by state licensing or accreditation considerations.

• Faculty must possess the necessary subject matter expertise and exemplary communication skills.
