Online Visiting Professor, Information Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Create and deliver a DeVry University syllabus that aligns with the designated course objectives.

• Organize, prepare, revise, and refresh course materials as necessary.

• Utilize online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions.

• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills to engage students and enhance their learning experience.

• Establish course expectations, objectives, assignment and exam dates, as well as evaluation criteria.

• Ensure that examinations align with the terminal objectives of the course.

• Consistently and fairly prepare and grade exams, providing timely feedback to students.

• Incorporate responsible AI technologies into the teaching and learning process.

• Identify, assess, and manage appropriate and inappropriate uses of AI tools by students.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Facilitate student learning in line with the requirements set by DeVry University.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Doctorate in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field is required.

• A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in information systems, information technology, systems analysis, database management, or similar computing disciplines.

• Unofficial graduate-level transcripts must be submitted with the application.

• The degree must be obtained from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or an equivalently accredited international institution.

• Three to five years of practical professional experience in information systems, enterprise systems management, IT operations, systems analysis, or technology implementation within organizational settings.

• Proficiency in information systems design, implementation, and management, including the integration of technology to support business processes and organizational decision-making.

• Possession of industry-recognized certifications or professional credentials relevant to information systems, IT management, enterprise systems, or systems analysis.

• Strong expertise in information systems concepts and enterprise technology environments.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical and organizational technology concepts to a diverse range of learners.

• Understanding of information governance, cybersecurity principles, data management practices, and ethical use of technology.

• Dedication to continuous professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices.
