This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.
• Develops and delivers an approved syllabus for students at DeVry University, adhering to a template set by the local campus, which encompasses the terminal course objectives.
• Organizes, prepares, and routinely updates all course materials to ensure relevance and accuracy.
• Utilizes appropriate technological tools for online learning and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussion platforms to prepare and make the course accessible to students.
• Exemplifies effective oral and written communication to engage students, provide clarity, and enhance the learning experience.
• Establishes clear expectations for the course by publishing terminal objectives, assignment and examination dates, and the weight distribution of various evaluation categories.
• Ensures that the content and difficulty level of exam materials align with the terminal objectives of the course.
• Maintains consistency and fairness in exam preparation and grading, and provides timely feedback to students.
• Embraces and incorporates responsible AI technology usage in the classroom to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
• Demonstrates the ability to identify, assess, and address both appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools in academic assignments.
• Completes additional duties as assigned.
• A Master's degree in healthcare analytics, health informatics, or a related healthcare field.
• All degrees must be obtained from a regionally accredited institution or an equivalent.
• Current RHIT or RHIA certification is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in analyzing healthcare data, including claims, clinical outcomes, and financial metrics.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Tableau, Power BI, SAS, Python).
• Experience in creating visualizations and reports tailored for healthcare executives.
• Knowledge of DRGs, CPT codes, and healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
• This position necessitates the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings.
• Faculty members must be committed to ongoing professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices.
• Certification as a Health Data Analyst (CHDA) or a similar analytics certification is preferred.
• Experience with specific EHR reporting tools (Epic Clarity, Cerner PowerInsight) is preferred.
• A background in population health management or risk adjustment modeling is preferred.
• Previous experience in teaching technical subjects is preferred.
