Online Notary Public

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Conduct the notarization of client documents.

• Assess the authenticity of key documents while operating remotely.

• Clarify the notarization process to clients and deliver a professional and responsive experience.

• Verify signers' identities in accordance with the requirements of the commissioning state.

• Ensure that the signer comprehends the document and is signing voluntarily.

• Examine documents for completeness and appropriate certificate wording.

• Perform acknowledgment and jurat notarial acts.

• Document each notarization in a digital notary journal as mandated by state law.

• Validate the authenticity of signatures on significant legal documents.

• Act as a witness for other notaries’ sessions when necessary and available.

• Enhance product quality by testing features and reporting bugs and suggestions to the notary team.

• Manage customer interactions through the internal account portal.

• Uphold certification as required by state regulations.

• Assist with testing and quality assurance as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 months of experience in a Remote Online Notary Public position, managing confidential and private customer documents.

• Valid Electronic Notary Public certification in Virginia.

• Commissioned Notary Public in Virginia.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.

• Technologically adept – capable of learning internal tools and new software.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Ability to address standard document issues with minimal guidance.

• Must possess a minimum of $25,000 in error and omission insurance coverage (E&O).

• Must have a functional desktop computer/laptop, webcam, microphone, and high-speed internet access.

• Availability on weekends is required.

• Availability from 1–6pm on weekdays and 9am–6pm on weekends.
