This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Virtually facilitate the closing of Home Equity loans for customers in Illinois upon their request.
• Manage and prepare the necessary paperwork and signatures required for closing Home Equity loans.
• Collaborate with the Home Equity closing team and internal stakeholders.
• Assist in scheduling and coordinating closing dates with customers.
• Formalize loan applications for approval and input information into computer or central filing systems.
• Identify process interactions required to meet internal, regulatory, and investor standards.
• Initiate communication with customers, staff, realtors, brokers, legal counsel, title companies, and other involved parties to gather necessary documents.
• Order title searches and other essential information.
• Generate required disclosure information within specified time limits.
• Provide updates on loan status, address discrepancies or issues, and deliver periodic status reports.
• Ensure excellent customer service throughout the loan process.
• Review files and loan applications for correctness and compliance with approval terms.
• Assess loan packages for adherence to legal and compliance standards.
• Compile final loan packages.
• Calculate loan settlement statements.
• Disburse funds, input closing information into the loan system, and prepare final packages.
• Coordinate loan packages from closing to funding within specified timelines.
• Explain loan features and benefits to customers during the closing process.
• Remote Online Notaries (RONs) must either reside in or be physically present in the state where they are commissioned when conducting notarial acts.
• Residency in Illinois is mandatory for this position.
• Capability to collaborate with legal teams to address complex documentation requirements.
• Familiarity with closing policies and procedures, funding policies, underwriting standards, governmental and agency regulations, terminology, and automated processing systems.
• Strong organizational skills are essential.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Understanding of relevant credit policies and approval processes for assigned products.
• Up to two years of relevant experience is highly preferred.
• Holding a remote online notary license (RON) is strongly preferred.
• Experience with LOS Applications such as Net Oxygen and/or BLEND.
• Background in Home Equity Loans and Lines of Credit is beneficial.
• Applicants must adhere to U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, as well as related workplace conduct and safety policies.
• Ability to comply with applicable regulatory requirements, which may encompass FINRA, NMLS registration, Reg Z, Reg G, OFAC, NFA, FCPA, Bank Secrecy Act, SAFE Act, and federal guidelines pertinent to the role.
