This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Faculty members are tasked with providing high-quality educational services.
• Engage and inspire students to enhance their learning experience.
• Exemplify professionalism and produce well-trained graduates.
• Collaborate with the Director of Online Education and fellow online faculty and staff.
• Instruct courses as outlined in the course syllabus.
• Ensure appropriate software usage: Weekly feedback reports in Moodle.
• Assess and choose texts and instructional materials; develop course materials and lesson plans.
• Provide students with an approved syllabus that outlines course objectives, learning outcomes, teaching methods, attendance policies, texts and readings, assignments and deliverables, timelines, and evaluation criteria.
• Utilize the College’s learning management system to upload syllabi, assignments, and other resources.
• Present course content using diverse teaching methods.
• Observe and assess student performance in relation to course objectives.
• Offer timely feedback regarding student progress.
• Be accessible for student consultations via office hours, scheduled appointments, phone, or email.
• Maintain attendance and grades, submitting class rosters and grade sheets by the College's deadlines.
• Encourage students to complete course evaluations and utilize their feedback to enhance course delivery.
• Revise and update course content as necessary.
• Participate in online orientation sessions.
• Meet with the Director of Online Education and/or the Vice President of Academic Affairs as required.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field from an accredited institution or equivalent (Required for teaching associate degree programs).
• A Master’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university or equivalent (Required for teaching bachelor degree programs).
• At least four (4) years of relevant practical work experience in the subject area(s) taught (per ACCSC) (Required).
• A minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience at a post-secondary education institution (Preferred).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills along with strong analytical abilities.
• Proven teaching skills and the capability to effectively manage students’ online activities.
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer literacy, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to manage individuals and projects effectively.
• Strong understanding of the course content.
• Effective in directing and evaluating student learning and overall performance.
• Well-prepared in Educational Theory and Techniques.
• A commitment to maintaining high ethical standards.
• Opportunities for professional development.
• Annual Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
