Online English Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Instruct English online to adult learners and/or children in 50-minute or 25-minute sessions

• Conduct individual or group classes

• Teach during the afternoon to evening hours in Beijing time, typically from 5 pm to 11 pm BJT

• Commit to a schedule for at least one complete semester

• Deliver teaching services that are punctual and responsible

• Collaborate with experienced teachers and administrative personnel for assistance

• Adjust scheduling based on current demand

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of online teaching experience

• A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline; preference will be given to degrees in Language and Education

• Availability to teach part-time or full-time during the afternoon to evening in Beijing time (5 pm–11 pm BJT)

• A dependable computer (desktop or laptop); Chromebooks are not acceptable

• Internet access; a wired connection using a cable is preferred

• A commitment to teaching for at least one complete semester (6 months)

• A punctual and responsible work ethic

• A positive attitude

• TEFL/TESOL Certification is preferred

• Students should already have some knowledge of English
