This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Provide digital counseling and emotional well-being support to adults.
• Deliver text-based online counseling or psychotherapy, along with support and advice, to adults within the iRespond clinical and operational framework.
• Evaluate and manage the risks and needs of each service user you engage with.
• Appropriately direct and complete referrals as necessary.
• Oversee your own caseload.
• Offer short and mid-term therapeutic structured support and interventions to assist with physical, emotional, and mental health challenges and distress.
• Provide digital therapeutic structured support and interventions for individuals facing complex mental health issues.
• Operate within the professional ethical standards established by the BACP or an equivalent body.
• Execute all tasks in accordance with relevant compliance, legal requirements, and internal policies, particularly regarding adult safeguarding and protection, as well as data protection laws.
• Keep accurate case notes and records using Kooth-approved systems and processes.
• Collaborate with other professionals/services, whether internally or externally, on safeguarding matters and concerns.
• Perform all tasks in accordance with relevant compliance, legal requirements, and internal policies, with specific attention to safeguarding and protection of young people and adults, alongside data protection laws.
• Maintain precise information regarding shift duties and activities through the scheduling and rota system.
• Participate in and contribute positively to clinical supervision and other forms of clinical support.
• Commit to mandatory in-house training and opportunities for continuing professional development.
• Attend and actively contribute to team meetings and other essential organizational gatherings.
• Participate in management supervision to review clinical work and overall performance against established work schedules (KPIs).
• A relevant professional qualification in Counseling at a minimum of level 4, recognized by BACP, UKCP, NCS, or an equivalent body.
• Must be registered with the BACP (MBACP reg.) or hold equivalent level registration with a recognized UK Counseling and Psychotherapy awarding body (NCS, UKCP, COSCA).
• Eligibility for accreditation in counseling or psychotherapy at diploma level (level 4 minimum) or higher.
• A minimum of 450 supervised clinical practice hours and three years of post-qualifying experience as a qualified and clinically supervised Counselor/Psychotherapist.
• At least three years of post-qualifying experience providing counseling and/or mental health support to adults aged 18+ in either face-to-face or digital formats.
• Experience in conducting risk and needs assessments, referrals, and delivering effective short-term and long-term counseling/psychotherapy.
• Proficiency in risk management interventions.
• Familiarity with adult safeguarding and child protection, along with clear knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and legislation.
• Experience providing effective engagement and immediate support to help adult service users navigate challenging experiences and develop skills for positive life changes.
• Capability to work remotely with a reliable broadband connection at your home or workplace, alongside a comfortable and safe working environment, and proficient use of technology.
• Outstanding time management skills and the ability to handle your own clinical caseload and administrative tasks, as well as effective communication with teams through online platforms.
• Availability for a minimum of 30 hours per week, comprising 4 or 6-hour shifts (or split shifts) per day, scheduled across afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
• Sensitivity and understanding of the social, environmental, and economic factors affecting individuals’ mental health.
• Resilience, empathy, and mental preparedness to assist individuals who may present in distress.
• A proactive attitude and a strong desire to contribute positively as part of a team to achieve our mission.
• A clear understanding of issues related to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and how these considerations inform your practice.
• A willingness to learn about mental health issues and theories related to psychological change.
• A belief in the importance of measurable outcomes.
• Experience and capability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
