This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Navigate and address challenges within accounts by providing customized solutions.

• Develop strategic territory plans that align with mutual priorities to enhance product demand and improve patient outcomes.

• Collaborate with territory teammates, field teams, and home-office associates to meet customer needs and provide access support.

• Utilize market insights, competitive landscape knowledge, and cross-functional expertise to identify opportunities and tackle challenges.

• Leverage territory data and market trends to reveal local insights, support pull-through initiatives, and lead customer interactions, either virtually or face-to-face.

• Organize planning sessions with stakeholders to address complex challenges and foster collaboration across functions.

• Provide real-time access support and coordinate with Patient Specialty Services (PSS) to guarantee a seamless customer experience.

• Employ digital tools and omni-channel strategies to tailor outreach in both virtual and in-person environments.

• Serve as the primary contact for accounts and Health Care Providers.

• Cultivate account relationships, identify common priorities, and connect customers with Novartis resources.

• Balance the generation of demand with strategic engagement of accounts.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university is required.

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries with large, geographically dispersed sales teams within the last 5 years.

• Candidates with backgrounds in medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, or B2B sectors are also encouraged to apply.

• A demonstrated history of consistent high performance.

• Experience in navigating and selling to large accounts and key customers.

• Analytical skills to identify, prioritize, and utilize relevant information to resolve customer issues.

• Ethical leadership with the ability to promote ethical conduct and compliance with organizational policies and regulations.

• Candidates must reside within the territory or within a reasonable commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border.

• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a wide geographic area.

• Capability to drive and/or fly within the territory.

• A fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license is mandatory.

• Associate level: limited prior sales experience or 4+ years of US military service in a leadership role.

• Territory Account Specialist: at least 2 years of experience in a relevant specialty pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, medical device, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, B2B, or similarly complex sales role within the last 5 years.

• Senior Territory Account Specialist: 5+ years of experience in a relevant industry or similarly complex sales role within the last 5 years.

• Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally within a matrix environment.

• Proficient in communicating clinical product information effectively.

• Desirable: experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategies, and new product launches.

• Desirable: knowledge of patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and medical interactions with HCPs.

• Customer-facing employees must adhere to customers’ credentialing requirements, which may include vaccination.

• No visa sponsorship is available.

• Novartis cannot provide relocation support.
