Okta Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design and configure policies, access controls, and token settings for applications and APIs within Okta.

• Integrate applications with Okta to facilitate authentication and authorization using established methodologies.

• Assist in the migration of Okta configurations and applications across different environments.

• Substitute OAG dependencies by implementing OIDC and utilizing Apache-based access where suitable.

• Diagnose and resolve authentication, authorization, and access challenges across integrated applications.

• Work closely with application and identity teams to collect requirements and deploy solutions.

• Maintain documentation for configuration changes, integration specifics, and operational runbooks.

• Contribute to Okta automation and AI projects when possible to enhance operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in identity and access management, specifically in Okta engineering.

• Proven hands-on experience with Okta and Okta Access Gateway (OAG).

• Demonstrated ability to work independently at an advanced or senior level with minimal onboarding for OAG-related tasks.

• Experience in configuring Okta policies, access controls, and token mechanisms.

• Background in performing Okta application integrations and troubleshooting authentication processes.

• Experience in supporting migrations between environments and documenting modifications.

• Knowledge of OIDC and Apache as components of access/reverse-proxy solutions.

• Experience with Okta automation or AI-driven workflows in Okta.

• Familiarity with Azure.
