Cost Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications and services at an enterprise level using C#, Rust, and associated technologies.

• Create and enhance complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database solutions to facilitate high-volume transaction processing.

• Design and implement APIs, data integrations, and services that utilize JSON and contemporary integration patterns.

• Analyze, develop, and support EDI transaction processing, including troubleshooting and enhancing inbound and outbound data exchanges.

• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to convert business requirements into technical solutions.

• Engage in architectural discussions and contribute to the long-term technical strategy and platform modernization initiatives.

• Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability by adhering to best engineering practices.

• Conduct code reviews and offer technical mentorship to software engineers and developers.

• Support production environments by investigating issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to enhance system stability, reliability, and performance.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and operational procedures.

• Collaborate closely with healthcare and benefits subject matter experts to ensure that solutions meet industry standards and business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Typically holds a Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of experience; Master's degree with no experience required.

• Demonstrates proficiency in using AI tools effectively, with an understanding of how to develop or create intelligent prompts and/or agents.

• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Rust.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems.

• Experience with big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark) and streaming technologies (Kafka).

• Familiar with cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and distributed systems.

• Possesses strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Capable of delivering robust and scalable data solutions with minimal supervision.
