Occupational Therapist Registered – Virtual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough assessments of students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional capabilities.

• Create personalized treatment plans and objectives in partnership with students, parents, and educational staff.

• Apply evidence-based occupational therapy techniques to meet the unique needs of students and enhance skill acquisition.

• Track and record students' progress towards their goals, modifying intervention strategies as necessary.

• Offer guidance and support to educators and other school personnel on methods to foster students' engagement and success in the classroom.

• Work with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support for students' academic and functional requirements.

• Attend IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and assist in formulating students' educational strategies.

• Keep precise and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and all mandated documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related discipline.

• Possession of a valid state license as an Occupational Therapist in your residing state.

• Enthusiastic about working with K-12 students in a virtual environment.

• Experience delivering occupational therapy services in educational or pediatric contexts.

• Competence in evaluation tools and therapeutic methods typically employed in pediatric occupational therapy.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for effective collaboration with students, parents, and school staff.

• Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in computer applications (including email and Microsoft Teams).

• Experience in teletherapy.

• Familiarity with sensory integration therapy, Handwriting Without Tears, and other therapeutic approaches (preferred).
