Nutrition Support Dietitian – Registered Dietitian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Assess and tailor enteral and parenteral prescriptions, including formula, volume, administration, and other specifications.

• Conduct outbound calls and ongoing evaluations with patients and their caregivers.

• Monitor the status of patients and their therapy tolerance.

• Provide education regarding nutrition therapy.

• Review medical documentation for newly referred patients in nutrition therapy.

• Analyze clinical documentation to validate qualification and medical necessity for Medicare and commercial payers.

• Create patient-specific care plans in collaboration with internal and external medical professionals.

• Collaborate with the sales team to foster and maintain relationships with nutrition customers.

• Act as a subject matter expert for sales support initiatives.

• Respond to incoming calls from patients, caregivers, and pharmacy personnel to address questions and concerns.

• Coordinate all aspects of patient home nutrition therapy with patients, caregivers, case managers, physicians, pharmacists, outpatient dietitians, and vendor representatives.

• Engage in an approximately one-week telephonic on-call rotation every nine weeks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current registration with the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.

• Registered Dietitian with an active license in the state of employment.

• Additional licensure may be necessary for multi-state service areas.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in nutrition support (enteral).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word to document and monitor patient care activities.

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as required by staffing and business needs.

• Ability to connect directly to the internet.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field is mandatory.

• Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) certification is preferred.

• Infusion experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with parenteral and enteral formulas across various manufacturers is preferred.
