This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.
• Provide daily clinical assistance for patients receiving parenteral nutrition.
• Conduct thorough nutrition evaluations and create, execute, and assess nutrition care plans.
• Offer nutrition education and support to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
• Evaluate new enteral and parenteral patients and their orders for clinical suitability, safety, formulary adherence, and reimbursement factors.
• Organize and facilitate parenteral and enteral nutrition therapy in the home environment.
• Engage in or lead discussions regarding PN patients during team meetings and collaborate with pharmacy and nursing personnel.
• Assist in nutrition-related sales initiatives, account management, strategic sales planning, and program execution.
• Act as a liaison between physicians, nutrition support teams, clients, and sales representatives.
• Track clinical performance metrics and develop and implement improvement action plans.
• Create and conduct continuing education, orientation, and in-service training sessions.
• Support the onboarding and training of Registered Dietitians, sales staff, and related personnel.
• Utilize clinical data to identify nutrition-related issues, determine interventions, and monitor progress.
• Record assessment results and patient advancements in medical documentation.
• Participate in professional organizations and the on-call Dietitian Rotation.
• Protect confidential patient and proprietary data.
• Undertake other assigned tasks and responsibilities.
• Must be a Registered Dietitian with appropriate licensure/certification in the practicing state.
• Minimum of two years' experience in enteral and parenteral nutrition as a nutrition support professional.
• Board Certification in Nutrition Support or a commitment to obtain it within one year of employment.
• Current CPR certification if interacting with patients.
• Willingness to travel within the designated territory and participate in required meetings.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities.
• Skills to plan, organize, execute, and evaluate clinical programs.
• Ability to educate and empower staff to implement nutrition services in home care.
• Proven effectiveness in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently without immediate supervision.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to perform under pressure.
• Preferred: Board Certification in nutrition support, prior home health experience, and sales and marketing background.
• Preferred: Advanced degree in nutrition or business.
