Nutanix Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and ongoing management of Nutanix environments across various client engagements.

• Provide hands-on implementation and operational support within HCI platforms.

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Nutanix HCI environments for multiple clients.

• Administer and sustain: Nutanix AOS, AHV virtualization, Prism Element, and Prism Central.

• Support infrastructure projects, including cluster deployments, expansions, workload migration to Nutanix, system upgrades, and lifecycle management.

• Conduct troubleshooting and issue resolution across compute, storage, and virtualization layers.

• Assist with the configuration of backup, replication, and disaster recovery systems.

• Monitor system health and performance to ensure optimal operation and availability.

• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on design implementation and validation.

• Maintain accurate documentation, configurations, and runbooks.

• Address client requests, incidents, and service tickets.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–7+ years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, or systems engineering.

• Hands-on experience with Nutanix AOS and AHV.

• Strong comprehension of virtualization concepts.

• Solid understanding of storage and compute infrastructure.

• Good grasp of networking fundamentals.

• Experience troubleshooting HCI environments and enterprise systems.

• Capability to work across multiple clients while managing competing priorities.

• Nutanix certification (NCA, NCP, etc.) is preferred.

• Experience in migrating from VMware or Hyper-V to Nutanix AHV is preferred.

• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions is preferred.

• Exposure to automation or scripting (PowerShell, APIs) is preferred.

• Experience in managed services or consulting environments is preferred.
