Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, Advanced Therapeutics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +14 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough telehealth consultations for individuals with obesity, diabetes, and cardiometabolic disorders.

• Initiate and oversee advanced treatments, including GLP-1s, dual incretin therapies, oral weight management medications, SGLT2 inhibitors, and PCSK9 inhibitors.

• Monitor laboratory findings, modify medications, and ensure the implementation of safe and effective treatment strategies.

• Educate and empower patients regarding lifestyle changes, disease management, and adherence to prescribed medications.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, dietitians, and specialists in behavioral health.

• Assist patients in accessing medications, including managing prior authorizations and strategies for adherence.

• Utilize analytics and patient data to monitor outcomes and enhance care plans.

• Contribute to the development of programs, optimization of workflows, and initiatives aimed at quality improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• Active NP or PA licensure in Massachusetts.

• Master’s degree required.

• Certification from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

• BLS and ACLS certifications are necessary.

• At least 2+ years of experience in an APP role managing chronic conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiometabolic diseases.

• Experience in prescribing and managing advanced therapeutics, including GLP-1s, SGLT2 inhibitors, PCSK9 inhibitors, and medications for weight management.

• Comfort in operating within a fully virtual care setting.

• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and critical thinking abilities.

• Capability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Familiarity with Epic EMR is preferred.

• Previous experience in telehealth or digital health environments is preferred.

• Candidates must reside in one of the approved states: Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, or Wisconsin.
