This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.
• Providing holistic and specialized care to women throughout their lives.
• Emphasizes the interconnected aspects of metabolic, mechanical, and mental health.
• Delivers evidence-based, patient-focused care that empowers women to attain lasting wellness.
• Conducts thorough, age-appropriate assessments, including comprehensive histories and physical examinations, in accordance with departmental standards.
• Executes intake evaluations for women at risk of or affected by Overweight or Obesity and/or experiencing symptomatic menopause.
• Educates patients on obesity as a chronic, multifaceted issue, highlighting long-term health strategies.
• Employs motivational interviewing techniques to encourage healthy lifestyle changes, focusing on nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and stress management.
• Orders diagnostic tests and prescribes medications within the scope of practice and patient care guidelines.
• Offers virtual and telephone consultations for patients and collaborates with clinical colleagues.
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MS, MSN, or DNP); a focus on Women’s Health is highly preferred.
• Board certification in FNP, AGNP, or WHNP.
• Current, unrestricted Kentucky APRN-CNP License and DEA in the state, or the ability to obtain them in a timely manner.
• Capability to acquire additional state licensure as required.
• MSCP Certification from the Menopause Society is highly preferred, or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Obesity Medicine is strongly required.
• Certificate of Advanced Education in Obesity from OMA or TOS/AAPA is an advantage.
• Resides in KY, IN, or PA.
