Nurse Practitioner – Virtual Primary Care, Virtual Urgent Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and identify patient needs and presenting symptoms through phone or video consultations.

• Review and verify patient medical history, current medications, existing medical conditions, and allergies.

• Order laboratory tests, imaging, and/or refer patients to in-person specialists when additional care is required.

• Interpret lab and imaging results and effectively communicate the necessary next steps to the patient during follow-up appointments.

• Prescribe medications when appropriate.

• Counsel patients on suitable screening guidelines and assess risk for specific conditions such as cardiovascular disease and metabolic syndrome.

• Manage care for patients with conditions including hypertension, type II diabetes, prediabetes, obesity, anxiety, and depression.

• Support patients in addressing women’s and men’s health issues, and provide guidance on lifestyle habits such as healthy eating, exercise, and stress management.

• Keep precise patient records and encounter documentation.

• Collaborate as a member of a care team to ensure timely and efficient patient care.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board certification in family or internal medicine is required.

• Active licenses to practice in several states.

• Willingness to obtain licenses in additional states as needed.

• Availability to dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week to First Stop Health.

• A strong commitment to leveraging technology to enhance access to and affordability of healthcare.

• Enjoy building and maintaining trust and rapport with patients over time.
