This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create sourcing plans tailored to specific programs for new product introduction (NPI), retrofits, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Advise project teams on sourcing strategies and provide relevant sourcing data throughout the development process.
• Act as a procurement representative in engineering, program management activities, and regular program meetings.
• Oversee and escalate financial risks, opportunities, and potential value-engineering initiatives.
• Manage execution risks and supervise purchase-order execution by Sourcing Operations.
• Collaborate with category buyers and strategic commodity leaders regarding requirements, supplier capacity, and pricing agreements.
• Promote the use of approved vendor lists and qualified suppliers within engineering.
• Integrate aftersales and total-lifecycle considerations into sourcing decisions made during the development phase.
• Provide supplier quotes and should-cost data to aid in cost-model development and estimation.
• Handle multiple simultaneous NPI, retrofit, and procurement-related programs.
• Facilitate effective communication among engineering, program management, buyers, and suppliers.
• Identify and escalate material and supply risks, offering recommended solutions.
• Report on procurement status, risks, schedules, and cost metrics to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in the transition from development to ongoing Sourcing Operations ownership.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or program/project management.
• Ideally, experience in automation, robotics, material handling, or a similar industry.
• Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering and program management teams during new product development.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, category management, and purchase order execution processes.
• Capability to manage multiple concurrent programs and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills across engineering, procurement, and supplier partners.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems; experience with SAP is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to client and customer locations by driving and/or flying.
• Willingness to accommodate travel of up to 10–20%.
