Non-Linguistic Quality Control Specialist, Europe

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct quality assurance for translations into English pertaining to pharmacovigilance, regulatory, and clinical materials.

• Review documents related to clinical and regulatory affairs, as well as pharmacovigilance.

• Utilize CAT tools and perform quality control checks to guarantee precision and uniformity.

• Validate formatting, numerical data, dates, units, terminology, and adherence to specified guidelines.

• Assist in processing non-editable or handwritten sources and execute formatting quality control post-conversion.

• Self-assign tasks based on availability through Open Offers.

• Meet urgent deadlines, generally within 12 to 24 hours.

• Manage high-volume tasks distributed across several small files.

• Document and report any discrepancies found.

• Collaborate with project managers and promptly escalate potential risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Required experience with CAT tools such as XTM, Trados, MemoQ, Phrase, or others.

• Familiarity with quality assurance checks utilizing Xbench, Verifika, or QA integrated within CAT tools.

• Proficiency in using the Track Changes feature in Word.

• At least 6 months of experience as a Language QA specialist in localization.

• Advanced level of English, with a minimum of C1 proficiency.

• Availability for 4 to 5 hours daily.

• Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays.

• Ability to meet urgent turnaround times ranging from 12 to 24 hours.

• Capability to manage numerous small files efficiently.

• Commitment to complete the quality control test and follow the staged onboarding process.

• Prior experience in a similar quality control role at a Language Service Provider (LSP) is a significant advantage.
