Non-Linguistic Quality Control Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Conduct Quality Control for English translations related to pharmacovigilance, regulatory, and clinical materials.

• Utilize CAT tools, such as XTM, and perform QC checks to guarantee precision and uniformity.

• Verify formatting, figures, dates, units, terminology, and compliance with provided instructions.

• Assist in processing non-editable or handwritten materials and execute formatting QC post-conversion.

• Self-assign tasks based on availability through Open Offers and adhere to urgent turnaround times, usually between 12–24 hours.

• Manage a substantial volume of work distributed across several small files.

• Record and report any discrepancies encountered.

• Collaborate with Project Managers and promptly escalate any risks identified.

⛳️ Requirements

• Essential experience with CAT tools: XTM, Trados, MemoQ, Phrase, or similar applications.

• Familiarity with QA checks using tools like Xbench, Verifika, or CAT-integrated QA systems.

• Proficient in using the Track Changes function in Microsoft Word.

• At least 6 months of experience as a Language QA specialist in the localization sector.

• Advanced proficiency in English, with a minimum level of C1.

• Availability for 4–5 hours daily; readiness to work during weekends and public holidays.

• Capability to meet urgent turnaround times of 12–24 hours while managing numerous small files.

• Willingness to take a QC test and undergo a structured onboarding process.

• Previous experience in a comparable QC position at a Language Service Provider is highly advantageous.

• Ideal candidates will have experience with clinical or regulatory documents or pharmacovigilance materials.
